呂中,馮遠征,秦海璐,秦昊,石榴,黃素影,韓藝博,許守欽,趙澤龍,李苒苒獨居老人鄧美娟（呂中 飾）因為常常接到騷擾電話而憂心忡忡，但是大兒子大軍（馮遠征 飾）及大兒媳（秦海璐 飾）卻認為是老人因為喪偶而引發的臆想癥。老鄧試著跟小兒子小兵（秦昊 飾）溝通，卻演變成因為看不慣同性戀兒子的生活習慣引發的爭吵。就這樣，老鄧變成了兩個兒子生活中的闖入 者，格格不入地生活在老房子里。隨著時間的推移，小區內發生的入室搶劫案以及大軍家里發生的惡作劇事件，逐漸讓一家人變得警惕起來，而就在此時老鄧遇到了一個游蕩的少年（石榴 飾），并好心地讓他在家里借住。可是事件并沒有平息，而是愈演愈烈，兩兄弟終于發現一切事件的發生都與幾十年前母親在三線建設中發生的事有密切關系……
